Student Council
About Our Student Council
At P.S. 38 we have many talented students who are natural born leaders, students who are seeking to develop their confidence in public speaking, and students who want their voice to be heard and make a difference. Through our Student Government all students are engaged as partners to enhance youth leadership, promote community involvement, and understand the democratic process through voting for Student Government President, Vice President, and Participatory Budgeting.
Some projects students work on include Civics for All, Respect for All Week, P.S. 38's Annual Color Run, Partnership With Children's Community Forum, K-5 Graduations, and Power day. Student Council has conversations with our Principal and Assistant Principal regarding student identified areas of improvement or change. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to work with technology, demonstrate leadership, and embody our CORE values: POWER: Positivity, Ownership, Willingness, Empathy and Respect.
