NYU Langone Dental Services
PS 38 has a dental program from NYU Langone Dental Services. For your child to benefit from these services you must fill out a registration form, which is in the main office or by contacting Ms. Torres, our parent coordinator. If you wish to know more or would like to inquire about your child who is already enrolled, please call Ms. Margarita at 718-630-7963.
Mount Sinai Hospital Mount Sinai School Based Clinic
On site Medical and Mental health support services provided by Mount Sinai Hospital Mount Sinai School Based Clinic at PS 38.
The Mount Sinai Hospital School Based Health Center is here to help. We offer the following services for your needs: - Complete Physical Examinations - Fill Out After School & Sport Medical Forms - Medical Laboratory Test - Immunizations - Mental Health Counseling and Services - Medications and Prescriptions - Medical Care, including treatment for acute and chronic conditions - Health Education and Counseling.
These services are free to all students at PS 38. Stop by our office located on the 1st floor in Room 156 or call us at 212-987-9295 to make an appointment or for more information.
Union Settlement recruits and trains local older adults to tutor and mentor children in grades K-3 who need help developing reading and writing skills. Through an award-winning approach developed by the OASIS Institute, tutors and East Harlem students work together throughout the school year to build the children’s reading skills, self-esteem, and positive attitudes towards learning.

Learning Through Art (LTA) is the Guggenheim’s hallmark artist-in-residency program. The program sends experienced teaching artists into New York City public schools where they collaborate with classroom teachers to develop, facilitate, and integrate art projects into the school curriculum.
RECESS ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM
Asphalt Green’s Recess Enhancement Program (REP) focuses on increasing physical activity rates for New York City children through organized and safe recess in school.
Asphalt Green Recess Enhancement Program works with our students Monday- Friday, This program create recess routines for students in kindergarten to fifth grade. It identify useable recess spaces, especially for active indoor recess and maps out current recess spaces to create different game stations.
Asphalt Green Recess Enhancement Program Encourage all students to be active no matter their age or ability and promote conflict resolution skills through play.
Springboard is a program to support your child in developing reading skills.
This program incorporates supports for struggling readers that deliver consistent, measurable results. Incentives are used to visualize student s hitting their reading goals!
This program is offered to Pre-K , K, & 1st graders.DMF Youth (Dance Motivation Fitness)
DMF Youth empowers under-served youth through dance, fitness, and life skill development. DMF provides free high quality after-school and summer programming to under-served youth in New York City.
This program is open to 1st - 3rd Grade Scholars. Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30pm until 5:30pm.
